Disney Channel has released the first trailer for its upcoming, live-action movie Kim Possible.

"So, a few years ago, I accidentally received a distress call. I was done with my homework, so I answered it. Now, well, I save the world," said the titular teen heroine, who is played by Sadie Stanley, in the preview.

The action-comedy is based on the animated TV series of the same name, which aired 2002-07.

The 70-second clip -- which has gotten more than 700,000 views since it was posted on YouTube Friday -- shows Kim teaming up with her best friend Ron Stoppable (Sean Giambrone) to thwart villains.

"While Kim and Ron have always been one step ahead of their opponents, navigating the social hierarchy of high school is more challenging than the action-heroes ever imagined," a synopsis said. "With Drakken (Todd Stashwick) and Shego (Taylor Ortega) lurking in the wings, Kim must rely on her family and friends on Team Possible -- Ron, tech-genius Wade (Issac Ryan Brown), new friend Athena (Ciara Wilson), and Rufus, a Naked mole-rat -- to stop these super villains!"

The TV movie is to debut on the cable network in 2019.
