Should every male celebrity changing their Facebook profile picture into the "celebrate pride" rainbow effect, in support of the USA legalizing same-sex marriage, be accused of being gay?

The answer is no. However, Khaled Abol Naga, 48, is being accused of just that. The Egyptian actor and producer was verbally attacked and accused of being a closeted gay after showing solidarity with the LGBT community. Thankfully, many more of his less conservative followers were much more understanding and respectful of his humanitarian beliefs.

Khaled is the first Arab actor to take this minority group's side.

While many may find Khaled's support of homosexuality surprising, it's actually quite the opposite. He is a Human and Child rights activist and has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since his appointment in 2007, which makes it quite predictable for this humanitarian to support this cause.

Earlier this month, iconic Egyptian actor Omar Sharif's grandson, Omar Jr., also changed his Facebook profile photo in support of the gay community.

The only difference is, Jr. is actually gay, which would have made it strange had he not turned his FB profile pic into the rainbow effect!
