Busan City and related organizations are 'Nervous' ahead of 100,000 BTS performance for the first time in history.

The Busan Metropolitan Government and related agencies are on high alert as the group BTS decided to hold their first-ever 100,000 capacity concert on a special stage at the site of the former Korea Glass Busan Plant in Gijang-gun, Busan, in October.

The performance is a super-large free event held in Busan by BTS, a public relations ambassador, hoping to host the 2030 Busan World Expo.

If 100,000 people flock to the venue at once, traffic chaos is inevitable, and there are many things to be solved such as safety, COVID-19 quarantine, and accommodation problems.

Moreover, holding a video relay concert with 10,000 people at the outdoor parking lot of the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal at the same time is also a burden.

In order to solve these problems, the Busan Metropolitan Government held its first working-level meeting with the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency and the Busan Fire Safety Headquarters on the 24th to focus on the pending BTS performance.

Above all, transportation is the most worrisome problem for both ARMY and Busan. On the day of the performance, the Busan Metropolitan Government plans to operate a large number of urban railroads and city buses and deploy shuttle buses.

It plans to completely control the traffic of vehicles on narrow roads from the East Sea Southern Line to the venue, and allow visitors to walk for about 15 minutes.

Visitors will be admitted from 9 a.m., much earlier than 6 p.m. when the concert begins, to prevent crowds from flocking at once. After the performance, the crowd will also be dispersed.

It is also seeking ways to operate additional trains such as flights between Seoul's Gimpo Airport and Busan's Gimhae Airport, and KTX connecting Busan for other regional and overseas ARMYs.

Accommodation fees are also high for ARMYs who want to participate in the performance. Prices for accommodation facilities in the eastern part of the country, including Gijang-gun, which is close to the concert hall, are already fluctuating.

Some hotels and others are unilaterally canceling reservations that have already been completed and demanding more money, so guidance and supervision are urgently needed.

In fact, if you search for the fare on October 15, the day of the performance, on various accommodation reservation sites, up to 1 million won is set.

Haeundae accommodations, which are quite far from the concert hall, are also searched for an average of 300,000 won to 400,000 won. In addition, as of the 14th, the day before the performance, all accommodation facilities near Gijang Station and Ilgwang Station are sold out.

As a result, angry voices of ARMYs are lined up. ARMYs are complaining of bitterness, such as "First time feeling anxious and overall difficulty before the concert," "The day of the meeting was canceled," and "Free concerts more expensive than overseas tours."

In this regard, the Busan Metropolitan Government will hold a comprehensive meeting of countermeasures attended by all related agencies around Chuseok.

It also plans to hold a final inspection meeting presided over by Busan Mayor Park Hyung-Joon just before the performance.

The Busan Metropolitan Government plans to promote the 2030 Busan Expo during the BTS performance and draw attention to the world. In response, major figures from 170 member countries of the International Exposition Organization (BIE) that will decide the venue for the 2030 Expo will be invited to the performance and the preparation situation in Busan will be introduced.
