The gorgeous ex-Miss USA Rima Fakih has been shaking her booty as the latest contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

This is exciting news because the Lebanese-American beauty is competing in season three of the Lebanese edition of the show, not the American one.

Rima will be competing against 12 other local Arab celebs, including Dalida Khalil, Rony Fahed, Reine Achkar, according to MTV Lebanon, the television network that broadcasts the show.

The 29-year-old beauty has an arduous few months of practice ahead of her as she takes to the dance floor every week (if she's voted in) and shows Arab audiences her dance skills in ballroom, hip hop, tango and other styles of dance.

The former beauty queen was the first Arab-American to be crowned Miss USA 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born in Srifa, a small city in Southern Lebanon, before moving to the United States in 1993 with her family.

MTV Lebanon said in a statement that Fakih has countered the stereotypical image of Arabs and “has proved that it is possible to be beautiful, sexy, smart and tough.”

The first episode of season 3 aired on Sunday, March 1.
