Joining Aniston in the Iraq war drama are accomplished actors Tye Sheridan, Alden Ehrenreic and Jack Huston, in addition to Oscar-nominated actress Toni Collette and Jason Patric, it was announced Friday.

While Aniston plays the role of a devoted mother of a soldier fighting in Iraq, Sheridan and Ehrenreich play two soldiers fighting in the Middle Eastern war zone, under the wing of a Sgt. Sterling (played by Huston).

The soldiers form an incredibly close bond during the Gulf War and vow to keep each other alive. But unspeakable circumstances make it difficult for one of them to keep the balance between the truth that he vowed not to speak, and the peace that a mourning mother seeks.

Collette will play the mother of the soldier with the secret that has forever changed him, while Patric will play Capt. Anderson.

Cinelou Films - co-owned by Courtney Solomon and Mark Canton - will finance and produce the movie.

"Story Mining & Supply Company’s CEO/president Jeffrey Sharp will also produce, while Story Mining’s Jim Kohlberg will serve as executive producer," reported The Wrap.

Solomon expressed his joy at the task at hand, adding that “We are thrilled that we’ve been able to sign on so many accomplished actors to this project. From the moment we first read David Lowery‘s script, we knew ‘The Yellow Birds’ was a film that we wanted to make.”

You can catch the "Birds" in action in cinemas in 2016.
