You never know where a celeb's at; one minute they're in France and the next in Africa! For Syrian actor Jamal Suliman, the jury's out.
Reports had it that Jamal has returned to Syria, following a number of websites posting statements on his behalf claiming that he's back in his homeland and is against any “traitors” who support the US military strike on Syria.
One of the reports claimed that the actor said: “When conditions reach a point where foreign military intervention is possible, there's no longer talk of supporters or opposers, but rather there is only room for those who love their country and those who don't.”
But Suliman didn't wait long before he put a stop to the fakers speaking on his behalf. The star posted on his official FB page, saying: “A website has taken it upon itself to post statements on my behalf regarding my stance towards the possible US strike on Syria. The website is a fraud, for I never held any interview with them or made any such statements about the topic, and I feel it is necessary that I clarify this point.”
Jamal added: “Regarding the rumors that I've returned to Syria, how I wish they were true, for my longing for Syria is unlike my longing for anything else in this world.”
The distressed actor stressed that when he makes the decision to return to Syria, he won't be waiting for anyone's permission to go back. Suliman said that he's been away from his country for the past two years, which to him and his family feels like a lifetime.
