Johnny Depp was born on the 9th of June, 1963, he is the youngest of four children, his mom was a waitress named Betty Sue Palmer, and his dad was a civil engineer called 'John Christopher Depp'.

During his youth, he moved a lot before settling down in Miramar, Florida in 1970. 8 years later Depp's parents divorced when he was 15 years old.
Soon after, Johnny's mom Betty remarried and said he I do's to one Robert Palmer, who to Johnny was an 'inspiration'.
When Johnny was just 12 years old, he began playing guitar using the instrument his mom had gave him, and 4 years later, the actor dropped out of High School to pursue his dream as a musician, but two weeks later, young Johnny went back to the school to ask the principal to come back, surprisingly, the principal refused and asked him to follow his dream of being a musician instead of going back to school. And that is what he did.

In 1980, a year after dropping out of school, Depp began playing in a band called The Kids, the band moved from Florida to LA in hopes of finding a record deal to sign, and eventually changed their name to Six Gun Method. 
During that time, Johnny Depp has worked in a variety of different jobs including telemarketing.
three years later, in 1983, Depp tied the knot with one of the band member's sister Lori Anne Allison who was a makeup artist. He was 19 years old.

The band split up in 1984, and Johnny began collaborating with the band Rock City Angels.
Depp's then-wife Allison introduced the rocker to American actor Nicolas cage, soon after, the duo became drinking buddies, and Nicolas encouraged Depp to pursue a career in acting.
Cage set up an audition for Depp to star in the movie A Nightmare on Elm Street', Depp eventually got the role, and starred as the main character's boyfriend. The movie was released in 1984. 
 and Allison filed for divorce in 1985. 

At first, acting was not Depp's plan, but he continued to be cast in movies, and in 1985 he starred in the comedy movie Private Resort, and during that era, Johnny Depp became a teen idol.

In 1990, Depp played the protagonist character in Tim Burton's romantic fantasy film Edward Scissorhands  alongside actress and now one of Depp's closest friends Winona Ryder. Depp earned his first Golden Globe nomination for the film.

Almost 2 years later, Depp starred in Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, which is a part of the movie series A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Between the years of 1990 and 2002, Depp starred in 22 movies. 

But soon after in 2003, Johnny became a star when the movie franchise Pirates of the Caribbean started, till now, this is one of Depp's most famous works. 
He earned widespread fame for his performance as pirate Captain Jack Sparrow in the Walt Disney production, and received Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations and won a Screen Actor's Guild Award for Best Actor as well as an MTV Movie Award.

Depp continued his box-office success with a starring role as Willy Wonka, a chocolate factory owner in the remake of the famous classical movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2005.
By 2012, Depp was one of the world's biggest film stars, and was listed by the Guinness World Records as the world's highest-paid actor, with earnings of US$75 million.

Depp v. Heard

In 2015 Johnny Depp married American actress Amber Heard, the couple went their separate ways in 2017. Years later, the duo battled in court over an op-ed Heard wrote for The Washington Post in 2018, in which she described surviving domestic violence, even though Heard did not mention Depp's name, but many connected Heard's story with Depp, soon after, Johnny began being oppressed by the people around him in addition to the companies he worked with.
In February 2019, Depp sued Heard over her op-ed and claimed that Heard's allegations were part of an elaborate hoax against him and repeated his allegation that Heard had been the one who violently abused him.
In August 2020, Heard countersued Depp, including the allegation that he had coordinated "a harassment campaign via Twitter and orchestrated online petitions in an effort to get her fired from Aquaman and L'Oréal. And on April 11, 2022, the trial began in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Lawyers representing Depp accused Heard of fabricating domestic abuse accusations about Depp to further her career, saying that Heard made the accusations because Depp had asked for a divorce.

Depp's Lawyers defended the idea the Heard had forged her injuries and created them from scratch using makeup tools, in addition to many witnesses claiming they did not see her with injuries -Amber stated that she hid them with make up-, and during the court, picture of evidence where found that prove Heard edited photos to make herself look abused. 
Heard's lawyers claimed that Depp had physically and sexually abused Heard on multiple occasions during their relationship, usually triggered by his addiction to alcohol and drugs.
On June 1, 2022, the jury found Heard guilty, and awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages from Heard.

Dating History

When Johnny was just 19 years old, he met his first wife make-up artist Lori Anne Allison who is six years his senior, through her brother, who played in a band with Johnny. Lori was a huge part in Depp's career as she introduced the actor to Nicholas cage.

In 1989, Johnny started dating 'Dirty Dancing' star Jennifer Grey, and just in 2022, Grey revealed that Johnny had proposed to her within two weeks of them meeting. However, she also revealed that they ended their romance as he later developed anger and jealousy issues, leading her to call off the engagement after only nine months together.

In that same year, Johnny met his next love, and now one of his best friends, actress Winona Ryder, during their romance, Depp was too in love to the point where he tattooed her name on his bicep, the ink read: Winona Forever', in 1993 the couple broke up leading to Depp changing the tattoo to 'Wino Forever'.

A year after, Depp met famous model Kate moss and began dating shortly after. However, their relationship had many obstacles, in 1994 the actor was arrested for causing $10K worth of damages to a hotel room with Moss found sitting amid the wreckage by police. However the couple stayed strong for four years after the intense incident.

After their breakup, Kate revealed that it lead to years of crying, trying to forget him. 
Following his split from Kate Moss, Johnny Depp began dating French singer Vanessa Paradis, the couple welcomed a daughter Lily-Rose in 1999 and a son named Jack in 2002.

No time was wasted in Johnny Depp's love life, as very soon after his breakup from Vanessa, Depp began dating actress Amber Heard, and the couple said their I do's in 2015.

Heard ultimately filed for divorce, which was finalized in 2016. and recently the couple were embroiled in a defamation lawsuit brought forth by Depp against Heard for $50 million.
