The Syrian actress Jomanah Murad has agreed to play the leading role in the new film “Sha’ban Al Faris,” starring the comedic actor Ahmad Adam.
The role was first offered to the Egyptian actress Ghada Abed Al Razaq, but she turned it down.
“The story of the film revolves around a father who feels weak and wants to prove hi strength to his son,” said Jomanah.
To prove that he is courageous he participates in a television show called “Al Faris Al Awal” (The First Knight). On their way to the television station they take the wrong car, unaware that the people in the car are going to commit a crime.
The father thinks that what he is being told by the men in the car is part of the television show, and he agrees to participate in the crime.
Actors Ahmad Al Sa’di, Lutfi Labib, Intisar, Majed Al Kidwani and Ala Mursi also star in the new film.
The film was created by Ahmad Al Beeh and directed by Sharif Abdeen, his first major film.
The budget set for the film is 12 million Egyptian pounds.
