Kathem al Saher Gives Donations to Train’s Victims in Egypt

The Iraqi singer Kathem al Saher announced the donation of 20,000 pounds for the train’s victims in Egypt in appreciation for his Arabic audience throughout the Arab world and in Egypt in particular. 

The renowned singer will perform a concert on March 26 at the al Galaa Theater under the auspices of the first Egyptian Lady, Suzanne Mubarak. The concert’s revenues to be organized by al Tahrir Rotary Club will be allocated to the Children Cancer Hospital. 

“I have the honor to be one of those who responded to the charity campaigns to relieve the plighted people hoping to extend help for them,” al Saher told Akhbar al Nugoom magazine. 

He added, “I have been prompted by my humanitarian desire and in appreciation for my Egyptian audience. Despite the fact that I consider the sum as little, it is a contribution from me to the dear Egyptian public.” 

On the other hand, the head of the Egyptian Art Association Union, al Sayyed Radi will hold intensive meetings with members of the Higher Committee of the charity concert to be organized by the Association Union in favor of the Upper Egypt train’s victims. 

The Higher Committee is comprised of the Actors Association head, Yousef Shaaban and Filmmaker Association head, Mamdouh al Laithi in addition to the stars Nour al Sherif, Hussein Fahmi, Mahmoud Yasin, Nabila Ebaid and Safaa Abu al Saud. 

The marketing committee is comprised of Laila Olwi, Mohammed Henaidi and a number of singers who showed interest in participating in the concert including Mohammed Fuad, Angham, Ehab Tawfiq and Hakim—Albawaba.com
