Egypt’s TV star Laila Elwi ran the clock too long and officially doesn’t have time to include her new show “Usfoor Al Janah” (Heavenly Bird) in this year’s Ramadan drama marathon.
In an urgent meeting with the makers of the drama, Laila decided to pull the plug and release the pressure of making it into the Ramadan lineup. Mahmoud Al Hindawi hasn’t even finished writing all the episodes, and the show’s director Ali Idris said he doesn’t want to rush creating the indoor scenes and designating outdoor locations.
The indecisive actress was relieved to be able to enjoy the holy month with her family instead of pressing her way through filming the show, which has been postponed to the end of the year.
