Jordanian veiled singer Nidaa Sharara's The Voice Arabia (season 3) win may have inspired one Egyptian woman to come up with the upcoming "Miss Veil" beauty pageant!

Make up artist Annoush Hamdi is behind the beauty competition, which will run in collaboration with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism on January 13-15.

Singer Heba Youssef will kick off the opening ceremony with her gorgeous voice and charming stage presence at the Novotel Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh.

A number of beautiful and elegant veiled women from all over the Arab world will take part in this one-of-a-kind contest, where less is more and women aren't judged on their bikini bods or how well they can pull off a sparkly evening gown!

Initially, 30 women will head to Sharm el Sheikh before 10 of them are chosen to go through to the finals.

The winner will be crowned on January 15 in front of a celebrity judging panel headed by journalist Lamia Fahmy, Lebanese actress Madeleine Tabar, Tunisian singer Durra, author Wafaa Maher and TV host Boussi Shalabi, who will crown the winner.

You can watch the exciting pageant on MBC and Al Nahar TV next week!
