Lebanese singer Maisam Nahas has denied circulating rumors that she was intimately involved with young Egyptian actor Ahmad Izz.
“I have never met Ahmad, let alone had an affair with him,” affirmed Maisam.
Maisam has recently divorced her husband, musician Rojeh Abu Aqel, after a marriage that lasted only a few years. Many speculate that the rumors of Maisam and Ahmad played a role in her divorce.
The singer asserted that she does not regret her marriage and is grateful for every moment, most of all for her son ‘Rudy.’
Maisam also denied that her career was the reason behind her divorce, instead she attributed the break-up to a “difference of opinion regarding many issues that could not be resolved.”
The news of the divorce was initially circulating around Lebanon after a close relative to Maisam revealed that the singer and her husband had separated peacefully. The news remained speculation until Maisam made a public announcement at a press conference after the release of her latest album “Fakarit Ikteer” (I Thought a lot).
According to the London based magazine, Sayidaty, Maisam revealed that she is living in a state of loneliness, but she prefers this loneliness to living with the wrong person. If she meets the right person, she is willing to give the union of marriage a second try, she added.
Nahas has recently filmed her latest music video “Fakart Ikteer” (I thought a lot) under the direction of Mirna Khayat Abu Elias, on-location in Lebanon. The clip tells the sad story of a woman whose lover abandons her, and her quest to find him.
The singer plans on shooting a second music video for the song “Khudni Fi Hudnak” (Take me into your arms), also under the direction of Abu Elias, for which she has chosen a new romantic look.
Maisam admitted to having a nose job and lip augmentation, and indicated that she may under go additional plastic surgeries since it has improved her self confidence and provided her a sense of security.
