Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred will finally appear in court on 23 December.

The star was arrested in Paris on "aggravated rape" charges on 26 October, and has been in behind bars at the Fleury-Merogis prison since then.

Lamjarred's lawyer told Al Arabiya News that the singer's hearing has been adjourned until Friday.

It hasn't yet been confirmed whether Saad's alleged victim, 20-year-old French Laura Prioul, will be present at the hearing or not.

This is the second time the young singer has been accused of sexual assault; in 2010, a Brooklyn woman accused him of raping her before fleeing the country (USA).

However, the same woman made an out of court settlement and dropped all charges against Lamjarred in June, according to her lawyer Rifat Harb.

Harb, announced last month that "Lamjarred has been cleared of his clients’ sexual assault charges – but the charges still remain pending."

"My client has no intention of pursuing the criminal matter," Harb said. "She has made it clear that she no longer wishes to pursue the criminal matter. Any news about me going to France to seek extradition of Lamjarred is false,” acknowledging, however, that “the final decision remains for the District Attorney’s office in New York."

Fingers crossed that Lamjarred will be able to tell his side of the story this time around!
