She might not always use her Twitter account for the most lofty of subjects but Iraqi songstress, Shatha Hassoun, is considered one of her country's 'most influential' tweeps, according to a new survey. The singing beauty uses her account to chat to fans, tweet about her latest footwear and give out sneek peeks of upcoming album details.
Her latest single, 'Ya Wafak' (Your Loyalty) is no exception and the techy songstress celebrated the release over the Muslim holiday, Eid al Adha, last weekend. Shatha partied with a small group of friends, including poet, Turkey al Mashiqah, artist, Fayez al Saed and director Bassam al Turk.
According to the London based Elaph, the event took place at one of the most prestigious restaurants in Dubai but Shatha is yet to tweet out exactly where the fun happened.
