So many years of singing soaked with so much competition between them. While you may have thought that the battle between Tamer Hosny and Mohammad Hamaki for top dog status in Egypt has been buried by the years of their career, the temptation to push for numero uno is still in place.

According to Sayidaty.net, the silencing of disputes between the superstars led fans to believe that the war had ended, but the cease fire is over once more with a conflict sparked by their mutual musical comebacks.

Tamer's return to top of Middle Eastern minds came after his recent MBC documentary "Qissat Suood" (Journey Upwards) was aired, highlighting his 10 years of accomplishments in the biz, with Mohamed Mounir and some other famous celebs that were brought in to discuss their great influence on the "Si Al Sayed" songster.

Only days after the career commemorating documentary was aired, Mohammad signed a contract with the Egyptian satellite channel Al Hayat to present a similar program to Tamer's that also talks about his life story and his rise to fame. Coincidence or copycat?

Mohammad Hamaki's program will also feature a number of celebrities who will be brought to talk about him and his journey, including Ghada Adel, Mohammad Foad, and, get this, Mohamed Mounir was asked to share as well, although he has yet to agree to appear.

Sources revealed that Mohammad had agreed with Al Hayat to do the documentary at the same time Tamer had agreed with MBC, but Tamer had rushed to have his program aired first, leaving Mohammad the apparent copycat.

The two musicians have also squabbled over working with the same poet and composers for their new albums.

Please do share with us your thoughts. Are these crisscrossing career paths coincidence or intense competition? Let us know in the comment box below.
