Young actress Jihan Fadel has joined the renowned actor Kamal Al Shinnawi and artist Fifi Abdo in starring in the new Egyptian TV series Ahlam Al Nas Al Tayyebin (Good People's Dreams).

The series was scripted by Salah Abdel Samia, directed by Mustafa Kamel and costars Riyad Al Khouli, Maher Isam and a number of new artists.

The episodes tackle many problems and crises within the family, as well as selfishness, which penetrates hearts by promoting corruption in society.

Fadhel told the Arabic daily Al Sharq Al Awsat that she performs the character of a girl from the middle class whose parents die and leave a will for her elder sister to look after her siblings in a working-class neighborhood. The sister takes on many jobs and sacrifices for the sake of securing the family's daily bread. She makes her dreams come true as her siblings get the highest university degrees and the best high-ranking jobs.

But "when she tells them her intention of marrying her first lover (Riyadh Al Khouli), the girl whom I play prompts her brothers to rebel against their elder sister and refuse her marriage. The girl succeeds in her endeavor and sparks enmity and belligerence."

Fadhel added that "I am gearing up to shoot my starring role in the film Aqdar (Destinies) along with Sawsan Bader, Farouk Al Fishawi and Mohammed Riyadh under the direction of Sharif Yahya. The film tackles the Eastern society's problems and issues and how to maintain Eastern customs and traditions."

"I have received a new script for a film entitled Fatah Khamsa Nizam (Girl, Five Systems) in which I'll take a starring role and play a new character along with Sumayyah Al Khashab and Fathi Abdel Wahab," added Fadhel
