If you think about it, celebrities are no different to diplomats. Perhaps that's why Tunisian superstar Latifa suggested that Arab stars are allowed to travel between each other's countries without a Visa.
The sharp-minded starlet makes a good point, since singers and actors spend more time filming in foreign countries than they do in their own homes.
But Latifa's request stemmed from a more meaningful place; she was looking for Arab unity. The singer made the plea on her official Facebook page, where she personally asked for the help of Al Jaras magazine's founder & Editor-in-Chief Nidal Al Ahmadieh in promoting her message for peace and unity.
Latifa's concerns were taken from the lyrics of her latest new single "Lbayka ya Alam Al Orooba," where she expressed her fear for the Arab world, some of which is going through tragic economic, social, political and military conditions.
"If we don't act now and support our nations and people, when will we do it? Before the Egyptian October war, famous late celebrities like Abdel Halim Hafez used to sleep in recording studios!"
This also came in response to the tragic incident where 21 Egyptians were murdered by ISIS in Libya, Latifa urged governments to "unite as one and put a stop to the endless wars and massacres in the region," according Al Jaras magazine.
