A tragic incident forced Lebanese superstar Wael Jassar to end his European tour and return back to Lebanon.
Jamal Nahhas, a musician in Jassar's band, passed away while they were touring in Germany.
Jassar told Sayidaty.net that he and his band landed in Germany from Paris, following a series of successful concerts in the French capital, Stockholm and Malmo, where his colleague began to feel terribly unwell.
Nahhas, 55, suffered a heart attack late in the evening, before the planned concert began.
The star said that the deceased felt tight-chested after landing in Germany, having not slept at all the night before. An ambulance was called to the hotel and he was transferred to hospital for medical attention.
Jassar wished his colleague well during the concert, having no idea that he passed away by midnight.
"Once the concert ended, my manager Ehab Majed told me that Nahhas has sadly passed away. He didn't want to tell me while I was performing because he couldn't upset me or disturb my performance," Jassar explained.
The emotional singer added, "I wanted to stay in Germany but my manager told me that I had to go back to my commitments in Lebanon, especially that I have a duty to sort out the body.
"I'm responsible for more then one family in my band and when duty calls, I've got to do what I've got to do."
RIP Nahhas.
