It's a little early in the day to be thinking of the Muslim holy month...But, if you've missed the fabulous Egyptian actress Wafa Amer, then you're in for a treat! She'll be making a comeback to TV in “Jabal Al Halal” (Mountain of Piety), alongside fellow Egyptian actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.

The series is set to air in Ramadan 2014. We haven't seen Miss Wafa since her role in “Karioka,” where she portrayed the late Egyptian legend Tahiya Karioka. But it wasn't all peaches and cream for the hapless Wafa who was highly criticized for playing that character, and the show was banned from airing in the holy month. Inshallah this time will be different for the ambitious Wafa Amer, who famously held her ground by refusing to gain weight for Kairioka.

According to Elaph news, director Adel Adeeb is currently holding extensive work sessions with Mahmoud and Scenarist Nasser Abdel Rahman to come up with the final details of “Mountain of Piety” and nominate its cast.

Up until now, only Wafa, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Manal Salama and Ahmad Budair have been selected to star in the series, which will be filmed in the beautiful cities Cairo, Sharm El Sheikh and a number of European cities. What a lucky cast, if we do say so ourselves!
