Ahmed Ezz's annual 10-day pilgrimage went unnoticed this year as fans continued to get their fix of the actor from the big screen.
The Egyptian star has been taking the religious journey from Umrah to Mecca every year since his Mother's death. A tradition that usually leaves fans pining for his return.
This year, Ezz's latest film 'Hilm Aziz' (Aziz's Dream) has been running at cinema's throughout his break from the scene. Thanks to popular demand the movie will continue to be shown throughout upcoming Muslim holiday season Eid Al Fitr.
And that's not all, it seems that the sacred journey has led Ezz straight back to the cinema as he has already begun preparations for upcoming film “Khayal Al Thil” (Shadow of a Shadow), which he will star in alongside Egyptian actress Menna Shalabi.
