Elsewhere on Al Bawaba this week, we reported on British Muslim activist Asghar Bukhari, who took to social media to do a thing that usually ends badly — he started talking about dodgy cospiracy theories. In this episode, the Muslim Public Affairs Committee UK leader suggests he may have been the vicitm of a "Zionist" home invasion. The evidence? A single missing shoe. Have a look, via Twitter.

Unsurprisingly, the Internet responded. On Sunday, the hashtags #MossadStoleMyShoe, and #ShoeishConspiracy were trending on Twitter. Here are some standouts.

The mockery didn't really slow Bukhari down though. Throughout the day, he was sending retorts of his own.

And things didn't even end there. Later Sunday, he switched over to YouTube for a 15-minute-long rant to defend his theory.
