Liverpool v Newcastle: Preview and projected lineups

Liverpool face off against Newcastle United in a must win match if they want to have any chance of nicking a late title. The Reds draw with Crystal Palace on Monday has all but handed Manchester City the title, but there is no telling what the final round has in store.

A win over the Magpies and a Manchester City loss means the Red's are the English Premier League champions. However, it is not gong to be a walk in the park for the home side as Newcastle want to end their season on a better note than where they started.

The Reds will have Jordan Henderson back from his three match suspension and his injection of energy and work rate is expected to pay great dividends to the first team.

It is a debate as to whether it will be Joe Allen or Lucas Leiva that is sacrificed for Henderson, with the odds makers believing that it will be Lucas.

Newcastle have several injuries to deal with as Davide Santon, Papiss Demba Cisse, Gabriel Obertan and Sammy Ameobi are all ruled out.

Liverpool are fully fit other than longtime absentee Jose Enrique and they will be looking to put up a strong fight as they try to run out late title winners.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Flanagan; Allen, Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling, Suarez, Sturridge.

Newcastle: Krul; Debuchy, Williamson, Coloccini, Dummett; Sissoko, Anita, Tiote, Gouffran; Remy, Ameobi.
