“Bab El-Web” movie to be screened in France

Bab El-Web, the recent movie of Merzak Allouche arrived in the Algerian movie theaters on March 8. It will be screened in in France starting from May 2005. <i>Liberte Algeria</i> reports that Faudel, Samy Nacéri and Julie Gayet play in the 99 minute comedy, which tells the story of Kamel and his brother Bouzid, who live in Bab el-Qued, a popular district of Algiers.

 

In the movie, Kamel is a lonely and disillusioned person and his brother Bouzid is an internet fanatic, who spends his time at local internet cafes inviting girls from all around the world to Algiers. The funny story of Kamel and Bouzid starts when Laurence, a young girl from France, accepts Bouzid’s invitation.
