ALBAWABA- Sudanese activists have reported the deaths of 24 civilians in an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on villages in Al-Jazeera State, central Sudan.

The assault targeted multiple villages, including "Al-Hafaer Hamad" and "Al-Adnab," where 10 and 8 people were killed, respectively. Six others lost their lives in surrounding areas, according to the "Call of the Middle" organization.

Meanwhile, the conflict, now in its 20th month, continues to escalate with devastating tolls across Sudan. In Darfur, attacks in the town of Kabkabiya killed over 100 people, including women and children, and left hundreds wounded.

The World Health Organization (WHO) described the humanitarian crisis as "shocking," with health facilities overwhelmed and short on essential supplies.

In Omdurman, heavy artillery shelling by the RSF killed at least 65 people and injured hundreds. Nearby hospitals, like Al-Nao, struggle to cope with the influx of casualties.

Elsewhere, drone-related explosions and shelling in displacement camps in North Darfur added to the death toll, exacerbating the dire situation.

As both the Sudanese army and RSF intensify their offensives, the civilian population continues to bear the brunt of a conflict that has already claimed tens of thousands of lives.
