4.0 magnitude earthquake strikes Jordan’s Aqaba area

ALBAWABA- The Jordan Seismological Observatory (JSO), under the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, recorded a 4.0 magnitude earthquake in the Aqaba area on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 2:42 PM.

The tremor, linked to the Dead Sea Transform (DST) fault system, is part of the region’s routine seismic activity. 

Classified as moderate in strength, no significant damage or casualties have been reported so far.
