Abu Dhabi Supports Needy Muslims throughout the World

The efforts of the UAE to provide the needy Muslims with different financial and in-kind assistance throughout the holy month of Ramadan, as a realization of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the direct supervision and support of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, have been welcomed and appreciated by Muslims all over the world.
This benevolent gesture came in the forms of providing Iftar meals in mosques and Islamic centers, besides distribution of parcels full of foodstuff to the underprivileged families. The campaign is being organized by a number of charity organizations, headed by the “UAE Red Crescent Authority” and “Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation” in close association with the UAE diplomatic missions. The drive covered around 40 Islamic states and Muslim communities throughout the world.
In a previous statement to the media, Mohammed Khalifa Al Qamzi, Secretary General of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA), said: “Our projects in the holy month of Ramadan epitomize the deeply rooted humanitarian values of giving that has been instigated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan”. He also stressed the authority’s adherence to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan with regards to extending all kinds of supports to our brothers in faith on a global scale.
The campaign covered a large number of Muslims people in different parts of the world, including Bahrain, Egypt, Pakistan, Mauritania, Morocco, Thailand, France and Australia.
