The Rabat-based publishing houses MARSAM and l’Editorial Sirpus in Barcelona have just co-edited an Arabic version of the famous best seller “The Alchemist”, which was written by the renowned Brazilian author Paulo Cuelho. “The Alchemist” tells the story of an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who leaves in his homeland, Spain, and sets off for North Africa in search of a treasure buried in the Pyramids.
The book, which is considered to be one of the classic books of our time, has so far sold more than 40 million copies worldwide and was translated to more than 56 languages. <i>Le Matin</i> reports that the paperback edition and its translation into Arabic will make it more available for readers all around the Arabic speaking world.
