Almehanya for Real Estate Investments and Housing signed an agreement with Ipsos Jordan to conduct a comprehensive eight-week field survey and study on the present state of the real estate market for professionals in Jordanian society, focusing on living style and habits related to housing needs and choices on the individual, familial, and societal levels, with the aim of planning and executing real estate and housing investments and projects that address the actual needs of this sector in Jordan and abroad.
The study aims to identify housing areas and patterns for middle-income professionals, identify their plans criteria in selecting to buy houses or apartments, and to explore their personal views on projects to build housing estates. This information and any additional suggestions by professionals will be the principal factor in defining Almehanya’s real estate and development plans, which will be launched in the near future.
Baker Odeh, Executive Director and General Manager of Almehanya commented: “This agreement embodies Almehanya’s outlook to interact positively with the pulse of society, particularly professionals and middle-income groups. It will enable Almehanya to plan and implement investment, real estate, and housing projects that fulfill the actual needs of the target group in a scientific and professional way.”
Mr. Odeh added that Almehanya, which launched its activities in a press conference on 19 July in which it promised to launch its first projects as part of the Engineers Association 50th anniversary celebrations, hopes to create an index for the middle-income real estate marketing Jordan, similar to the stock exchange index, by updating and developing field studies on a continuous basis and creating a database founded on a scientific methodology.
Mr. Mustapha Tabba, General Manager of Ipsos Jordan expressed his happiness at signing this agreement with Almehanya and his confidence that the study will help Almehanya fulfill the housing needs of an important social group. Mr. Tabba explained that the study will cover a random sample of 2,000 respondents who are members of the Professional Associations, half of them from the Engineers Association, whose members constitute 51% of all Professional Association members, and that the sample would cover members not only in Jordan, but also in Saudi Arabia, Palestine, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.
