Ambassadors Conduct a Tour of the BPWA Call Center

The Business and Professional Women – Amman (BPW-A), recently received a high level delegation who conducted a tour of the association's headquarters.

The group visit consisted of Their Excellencies Margaret Huber the Canadian Ambassador, Andrea Reichlin, the Swiss Ambassador, and Ivana Holoubková, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic. Receiving the visitors were a number of members and Board Members of the association, headed by Mrs. Meisa Batayneh, BPW-A’s Chairperson.

The visitors were given a detailed presentation about BPWA’s core projects and initiatives including the “At Home” project and the “Call Center” project., both designed to serve professional women, and create opportunities for women to work from home or closer to their homes, thereby supporting them to overcome the various obstacles they face as they play their part in contributing to the Jordanian economy.

The visitors were later given a tour of the Amman "Call Center” project location, which had been set up earlier this year through support from the USAID Jordan Economic Development Program (SABEQ). The Call Center project also operates in Zarqa.

Batayneh highlighted the objectives of the Call Center Project, which include the reinforcement of the participation of Jordanian women from various municipalities in the Jordanian job market by creating accessible job opportunities.

The visitors expressed admiration for the initiatives launched by the BPW-A and accordingly expressed their interest in supporting the initiatives. Such projects, according to the Ambassadors, reflect serious commitment to reinforcing the role of Jordanian women on all levels and increasing their contribution to a stronger local economy. The Ambassadors also saluted BPWA for incorporating the use of internet and technology in its development projects.

BPWA’s call centers provide support, solutions and services to clients from both private and public sectors. Services include management of incoming and outgoing calls, sales management solutions, research and phone surveys, customer satisfaction analyses, and marketing and promotion of products and services. Call Centers are designed to provide clients with efficient high quality services allowing businesses to dedicate their human resources to core functions instead of call center services.

BPWA’s call centers at Amman and Zarqa aim to replenish the economy with qualified workforce that is trained and skilled in the field of tele-communications. Additionally, the Association’s call centers provide a large number of jobs for women within a supportive environment that motivates work and productivity. This results in a positive impact on the quality of life of working women on both the social and economic levels.

Business & Professional Women- Amman is a Jordanian-based NGO aiming to open pathways and create platforms for women in business to move beyond barriers and utilize their unique energies, talents, and capabilities to make a difference, with a vision to be a vital contributor to the prosperity of the Jordanian business and professional society.
