BabyWise starts out with specialized educational program for expecting parents and parents of newborns

Presenting first of its kind education and consultancy in the Middle East, BabyWise program commenced on Wednesday 4th of June, which targets expecting parents and parents of newborns to help them gain more experience, sharpen their parenting skills and offer them practical guidelines on the healthiest and best parenting techniques, in collaboration with Farah Hospital in Jordan, the leader in providing medical services specialized in women’s health, ante-natal care, neonatal care and fertility treatment.

This program includes interactive monthly lectures featuring in-depth presentations offering advice about topics of value to parents. The program will also include daily tailored workshops where the launching will start on the 15th of June, targeting parents at the pre-birth stage and mothers after delivery with the assistance of a team of qualified nurses. Lectures and workshops are presented by Dr. Medhat Abu-Shaaban, a consultant in pediatrics and member of the American Board of Pediatrics and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, enjoys 20 years of experience in the United States. Dr. Medhat has been awarded the “Best Pediatrician Award” from Baltimore Magazine and the Towson Times Magazine in Maryland.

 

Dr. Abu-Shaaban said “Our aim is helping parents to provide a nurturing and healthy environment for their children and themselves, and make informed decisions on various issues concerning their children.”

He added “BabyWise will provide parents with the right information to build a healthy family and raise healthy children through a series of lectures and workshops discussing healthcare and well-being issues for both mother and baby during pregnancy and at birth, and that is why we came up with the idea of BabyWise, which is considered the first of its kind in the middle east.”

The lecture included some general questions about health issues where the  audience participated through the power voting system, in addition to that, booklets including valuable health care tips where distributed .
