Bahrain will host the first Arab naval and maritime exhibition and conference next year, reported the Gulf Daily.
Bahrain Naval and Maritime 2002, which begins on January 14, will be held under the patronage of Emir Shaikh Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa, said the daily.
The four-day program, which will serve the naval and merchant shipping requirements of the Middle East, is being organized by Arabian Exhibition Management (AEM).
There will be a show that will feature weapons systems, maritime engineering and environmental protection and control technology.
Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Syria, the Sudan, Tunisia, Yemen, India, Pakistan, Turkey and Lebanon will participate in the conference, said the daily – Albawaba.com
