Black boxes found from Iranian airliner crash

The black boxes from an Iranian airliner, flight 7908, that crashed 16 minutes after departure near Tehran Wednesday killing all 168 people on board was found, a transportation ministry official said.

 

“The plane's recording and flight systems have been found,” Ahmad Majidi, head of the ministry's crisis unit, told the official IRNA news agency. “Our experts are examining the black boxes to try to determine the cause of the crash.”

 

The Caspian Airline Tupolev-154 allegedly caught fire midair while heading to Armenia. 153 passengers and 15 crewmembers died in the crash.
