BP appoints Regional Director Human Resources for Middle East and South Asia region

Oil and gas multinational BP today announced the appointment of Diaa Mohamed as regional director of Human Resources for the Middle East and South Asia.

Mr. Mohamed joins BP from Motorola, where he was director of Human Resources in the Middle East and Africa. Originally qualified as an industrial engineer, he has a wealth of experience that bridges his business and technical skills with extensive knowledge of HR best practice and management theories.

Mr. Mohamed spent two years with Motorola at its worldwide headquarters in the US and its Europe, Middle East & Africa headquarters in the UK before joining the Motorola team in the Middle East & Africa.  He is a member of the advisory committee of the American University of Beirut (AUB) Middle East HR Forum (MEHRF) and was awarded the Asia HR Leadership Award by the Asia Pacific HRM Congress in February 2007.

A key priority for Diaa will be the continued implementation of BP’s diversity and nationalization programme in the region.
