Reuters reports that Daesh claimed responsibility for the car bombing that killed seven, including the governor of Aden, on Sunday morning.
Daesh posted in their internal messaging system that a car rigged with explosives was detonated as Governor Jaafar Mohammed Saad's convoy passed.
Aden is a southern port city in Yemen, also home to the Saudi-backed Yemeni government. Yemen has been at war since March 2015.
