Middle East today announced the launch of four new laser printing devices offering high quality black and white printing for SME and corporate workgroups; the i-SENSYS LBP6300dn, i-SENSYS LBP6650dn, i-SENSYS MF5840dn and i-SENSYS MF5880dn.  The models offer high performance in a compact design and incorporate many energy and cost saving features, including Canon’s Quick First-Print technologies.

i-SENSYS LBP6300dn and i-SENSYS LBP6650dn

Offering fast print speeds, the i-SENSYS LBP6300dn and i-SENSYS LBP6650dn are perfect for small and medium sized businesses with high print volume needs. The          i-SENSYS LBP6300dn features Canon Advanced Printing Technology (CAPT) - Canon’s own enhanced host based printing technology which helps users save time.  With Canon’s UFRII, PCL5e/6 and optional PostScript support, the i-SENSYS LBP6650dn additionally meets the needs of corporates and the government sector.

The printers incorporate a built-in network interface, which enables the devices to be easily shared by multiple users across the network, whilst a Remote User Interface makes them easier to manage and monitor.

i-SENSYS MF5840dn and i-SENSYS MF5880dn

The network-ready mono laser multifunctionals, i-SENSYS MF5840dn and i-SENSYS MF5880dn, are ideal for use in a workgroup environment, enabling users to share printing, scanning and copying - the i-SENSYS MF5880dn also offers fax capability. Both models have a compact, slim design and offer automatic double-sided copying and scanning with a 50-sheet Duplex Auto Document Feeder (ADF), which helps users save time and increases productivity.

The i-SENSYS MF5840dn and i-SENSYS MF5880dn feature SEND functionality with Compact PDF, which provides faster, more efficient document distribution directly to email addresses, network folders and USB memory keys and enables a smaller file size without compromising image quality.  The i-SENSYS MF5840dn and    i-SENSYS MF5880dn also feature PCL5e/6 support and User and Department ID Management for enhanced security.

Energy, time and cost savings

The new mono devices are all designed to help customers save energy, time and costs when printing. These high-speed and responsive printers offer impressive Fast First Copy Out / Print Out Times. The i-SENSYS MF5840dn and i-SENSYS MF5880dn have a rapid First Copy Out Time (FCOT) of eight seconds or less and the i-SENSYS LBP6300dn and i-SENSYS LBP6650dn have an even swifter First Print Out Time of six seconds or less.

All the models also incorporate Quick First-Print technologies which enable the devices to rapidly wake-up from sleep mode. Quick First-Print technologies incorporate On-Demand Fixing technology that uses ceramic heaters to transmit heat instantly to the fixing unit. Not only does this enable the quick wake-up from sleep mode but it also reduces energy consumption when compared with conventional fixing systems.

All the models are Energy Star certified and the i-SENSYS MF5840dn and   i-SENSYS MF5880dn have a superior Typical Electricity Consumption[1] (TEC) of only 1.321 kWh/week. The i-SENSYS LBP6300dn has a TEC of 2.03 kWh/week and the i-SENSYS LBP6650dn comes in at 2.52 kWh/week. Automatic double-sided printing comes as standard in all devices which helps to reduce paper consumption, thereby reducing the operating cost and impact on the environment.

Maximum uptime and reliability

The i-SENSYS LBP6300dn, i-SENSYS LBP6650dn, i-SENSYS MF5840dn and  i-SENSYS MF5880dn all feature a maximum 800-sheet paper capacity, making them ideal for organisations with high print volume needs. The devices also use Canon All-In-One cartridges which incorporate the toner, drum and cleaning units into one, reducing maintenance requirements whilst increasing reliability. With each cartridge change the printer unit is refreshed, ensuring continuous high quality output. There is also a high yield cartridge option which further reduces printing costs and minimises down time.

The devices are available across MENA from March 2010.
