Russia's representative to International Syria Support Group (ISSG) Ceasefire Task Force Alexander Zorin revealed that the militant organization of al-Nusra Front has received advanced weapons, including missiles, during the period since the cessation of hostilities agreement was enforced in Syria.
According to Zorin, who was quoted by a diplomat on Monday, Nusra Front received advanced tanks, anti-tank missiles and a hundred anti-aircraft missiles during the duration of the cessation of hostilities agreement and it is waiting for orders from "a state on the northern Syria border" for using the weapons.
The diplomatic said Zorin reminded the ISSG of the UN demands of stopping the financing and arming of factions designated as terrorist by the UN, and that Turkey is not responding to the international demands and resolutions.
Nusra Front is affiliated with al-Qaeda in Syria. The organization has conducted multiple attack across the Idlib and Aleppo provinces.
