Daesh fighters killed at least 37 rival militants in an overnight attack in Syria’s province of Aleppo, Reuters reported on Sunday.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Daesh suicide bomber blew himself up at a military post held by rival insurgents in the village of Umm Housh late Saturday night.
Daesh fighters then seized the village after heavy clashes with rival groups, Reuters reported.
“The main goal for taking the village is to tighten the noose around Marea which is considered a reservoir for groups that are against the Islamic State (Daesh),” Observatory head Rami Abdul Rahman told Reuters.
