Egypt declares month-long state of emergency

 State television announced a one-month state of emergency across Egypt on Wednesday. The armed forces would help the Interior Ministry enforce security, it was said. 

The annoucement was made following deadly clashes across the country on Wednesday between security forces and supporters of ousted President Morsi.
