Finnish Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja was hospitalized in Helsinki on Friday for a minor blood clot in his lung, the Foreign Ministry said Friday.
"The foreign minister suffered a minor blood clot in his leg which then traveled to his lung," said ministry spokeswoman Tuija Zapasnik.
"He will stay in hospital for observation over the weekend, and doctors will decide Sunday if he can go home," she said.
Tuomioja, 54, was in good condition and was "reading and making phone calls", Zapasnik said – HELSINKI (AFP)
