French Prime Minister Manuel Valls says his country could face the risk of chemical or bacterial warfare in its fight against Daesh.
“We must not rule anything out. I say it with all the precautions needed. But we know and bear in mind that there is also a risk of chemical or bacteriological weapons,” Valls said in a Thursday speech addressed to lawmakers debating the extension of the state of emergency in France.
The state of emergency was initially announced in France after a series of coordinated attacks on November 13 by Daesh. The horrendous attacks left at least 129 people dead and some 350 injured.
