Girard Perregaux launches three bridges gold tourbillon in the middle east

Prestige Swiss watch manufacturer Girard-Perregaux announced the Middle East launch of the Tourbillon with three gold bridges - a unique watch that has won countless awards and accolades.

“This watch is the epitome of technical finesse and engineering perfection ever achieved in a single watch,” said Stefano Macaluso, Vice President of Girard-Perregaux. “In addition to being a momentous technical breakthrough, the tourbillon with three gold bridges is characterized by its purity of design and awe-inspiring beauty.”

Mr. Macaluso noted that the contemporary incarnation of this timepiece is a dazzling example of one of the most spectacular decorations ever found on a wristwatch movement.

The exceptional beauty of the three parallel arrowed shaped bridges was invented for perfectly functional reasons. Each of the three bridges secures the spring barrel, the drive train and the all-important tourbillon cage. This amazing technical achievement was realized at a time when there was no microscope, Computer CAD, calculator or artificial lighting.

“The GP three bridges gold tourbillon has attained a distinctive position in a class of its own by excelling in technicality and aesthetics,” Mr. Macaluso remarked.

Back in the early 1900s the watch was eventually precluded from several competitions because it was considered too perfect, in an effort to prevent the same watch from winning repeatedly. The true measure of GP’s tourbillon is that it has enthused a series of watchmakers to produce tourbillon watches.

“This watch is an exceptional work of art right from the inspiration from Constant Girard to the efforts of generations of watchmakers at GP, we have a timepiece that is a blend of expertise, originality, technique and magnificence that are a hallmark style of Girard-Perregaux,” Mr. Macaluso concluded.
