The three-tier fountain of chocolate flow is the centre of attraction at Modhesh Fun City. It’s a must have treat as it offers a wholesome platter full of the smooth goodness of chocolate coupled with fresh strawberries, crisp wafer and chewy marshmallows. All in a one-package deal!
Brought in as the Moosa Chocolate Fondue, the stand also sells candy apples at the rate of AED7 per piece. And the chocolate plates sell for AED25 each. In a day the kiosk sells to anything between 150 and 200 customers.
Speaking about the tasteful produce at the stall, Marie Ann said, “People are always attracted by the flowing chocolate. The clientele we cater to is not essentially children, even adults love to try out the treat. And once they have had their first taste, they always come back for more. There is something magical and addictive about this goodie. We all love it, it brings out the child in us.”
“The plate of chocolate is served with side items like marshmallows, wafers and freshly cut strawberries. Of course, if the customer does not like any of the choice then it can be substituted for any of the other two items. We want the guests to leave a sweet taste in their mouth – nothing less!” she smiled.
Lorie Calimbas who was at the Under Construction zone nearby said, “We often see the children pile up their plates with wafers and come into our zone to play. It is great to watch them enjoy their treat. That’s when I also feel really tempted to take a break myself!”
“Indeed coming to MFC with such incredible treats around is only adding to the excitement of being here. It’s not just a fair spread of games and activities but also a great offer of eats and treats. Great stuff, really. Plus its all under one roof so there is no fuse of commuting across streets in traffic!” smiled Ahmed Hilal Al Sulaimani, who was visiting MFC with his sons Yahya (10), Ibrahim (6), and daughter Sarah(4). They were on visit to UAE from Oman.
Housed at the Airport Expo in Dubai, Modhesh Fun City is open to all from 10.00am to 10.00pm, Saturday to Wednesday. On Thursdays and Fridays, the venue remains open until 12.00am. It opens at 3.00pm on Fridays. Entry fee is AED 20 per person. It is organized as part of Dubai Summer Surprises 2008, the region’s biggest summer event that will continue until August 22 with 65 days of summer festivities and a refreshing change in entertainment symbolized by a combination of the region’s best in shopping, winning, and family entertainment.
