Gulf Dynamic Switchgear completes 25th year of success

Gulf Dynamic Switchgear Company (GDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of M’sharie LLC has successfully completed 25 years of operations in UAE this year. GDS was established in 1981 and it is now one of the pioneers in designing and manufacturing of low voltage switchgears in UAE and the Gulf region.  Coinciding with its 25th year in operation the company has also announced an ambitious expansion plan to increase its capacity by 200 per cent by investing in new production lines at its base in Sharjah.

Speaking on the achievements of GDS, Abdul Aziz Al Serkal, Chairman of GDS and Managing Director of M’sharie said, “Over the past 25 years, GDS has set very high quality standards in terms of design, product specification and customer support.  Besides being an ISO 9001 certified company, GDS products are type tested by independent European certifying authorities marking company’s emphasis on quality”.

The product range of GDS covers the entire gamut of specialized electrical products  including main distribution boards, motor control centers, street lighting feed pillars, control panels, consumer distribution boards, power factor correction units and harmonic filters, generator control and synchronizing panels. GDS products have been approved by almost all government institutions including Dubai Municipality, water and electricity authorities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Fujairah.
August Schmid, General Manager, GDS said “GDS have designed and supplied more street lighting feeder panels than any other manufacturer in UAE through out 25 years. The company is planning to increase its market share by implementing ambitious expansion plans to meet clients expectations and the growing market opportunities in UAE and the region”.

Construction work is under progress to increase the production area by three times in the existing premises. Besides, the company is also setting up additional production facilities at two different locations in Sharjah Industrial Area.  New machineries have already been ordered from Europe.  The company will double the strength of skilled workforce from the current level in the next few weeks.

Al Serkal added, “With the setting up of such facilities, GDS can ensure satisfying the varying needs of its customer’s demands and more effectively participate in the growing construction activities in UAE and the region”.

GDS is staffed by 89 highly skilled personnel, which includes 22 qualified engineers serving the markets’ ever changing demands and requirements, thorough proven designs, high quality products, modern production methods and a complete quality system ensure that the products are durable and comply with highest international quality standard.
