ALBAWABA - Following the Israeli army's revelation that it had retrieved the remains of six detainees from a tunnel in the Gaza Strip, Hamas accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being responsible for the murders of captives slain in Gaza.
In a statement made public on Sunday, Hamas claimed that Netanyahu was solely to blame for the deaths caused by Israeli bombings and urged U.S. President Joe Biden to stop supporting Israel if he really cared about the lives of the detainees.
In addition, Netanyahu's recent threats against resistance leaders were discussed in the statement, which saw them as an indication of Israel's dire situation and impotence. The current deadlock in talks to achieve a truce and prisoner release was attributed by Hamas on both Netanyahu and the US government.
Netanyahu's efforts to assign blame and deceive the public about the impasse in the discussions were also denounced by Hamas. The organization denied Netanyahu's assertions that on May 27, Israel had consented to a prisoner swap agreement with full support from the United States, but Hamas had turned down the offer.
