The 33rd edition of the Hassan II Golf Tournament in Dar Es-Salem golf course came to be a great opportunity for Moroccan golf players. The long list of professional Moroccan golf players, who excelled in the event, includes Younis El Hassani, Abdelhaq Sabi, Mustapha El Kharraz, Faysal Serghini and Marwan Chemssedine.
However, the most impressing achievement undoubtedly belongs to El Hassani (33 year old), who became the first Moroccan golf player to enter the first ten in the prestigious international tournament. <i>Aujourd’hui</i> reports that following a bad start in the tournament, El Hassani managed to recuperate one day before the end of the tournament and jump from the 14th to 10th place. This achievement rewarded him a sum of $9400.
