The French Institute of Agadir has decided to co-produce a Hip Hop CD in Agadir. The production project, scheduled to be completed by next summer, is part of the Institution’s ongoing three year program to support this music style, which has long became more and more popular among youth. As part of its efforts to encourage and support young artists, interested in this style of music, the French Institute has also invited popular Rap group, Uni’sons, from Montpellier (France) to hold a one week seminar in Agadir in order to assist and guide local artists.

Yabiladi reports that for Habib Dechraoui, the leader of the French group, the main mission in Agadir is to improve the Moroccan artists’ writing skills and to encourage free expression.
