The Lebanese Hizbollah movement said its fighters fired for the second consecutive day at Israeli warplanes that entered Lebanese airspace on Sunday, according to reports.
Witnesses said they saw Israeli warplanes fly over south Lebanon and later heard anti-aircraft guns firing.
A spokesman from Hizbollah said the group responded to the "Israeli planes that violated our airspace with fire," according to AFP.
It was the third time this month that Hizbollah guerrillas said they had fired at Israeli warplanes that entered Lebanese airspace.
A pair of Israeli aircraft overflew the area of southern Lebanon occupied by Israeli for 22 years up until last May, as well as the Hizbollah stronghold of the Iqlim At Tuffah hills further north, witness told Reuters.
Hizbollah also fired on Israeli planes patrolling south Lebanon on June 12 and on Saturday, without hitting any of them.
On June 3, for the first time since Israel's pullout from south Lebanon, the Lebanese Army's anti-aircraft batteries fired at Israeli warplanes.
Israeli jets have been flying regularly over Lebanese villages and cities since October, when members of Hizbollah snatched three soldiers patrolling the disputed Shabaa Farms territory on the border between Israel and Lebanon. An alleged Mossad agent was also snatched by the Lebanese group.
