ALBAWABA- Houthi military spokesperson announces that Yemeni Armed Forces targeted two American ships, "Sea Champion" and "Navis Fortuna," in specific operations in the Gulf of Aden.
The strikes, carried out with naval missiles, were accurate and direct. This marks the fourth operation in 24 hours, with previous attacks targeting a British ship resulting in its sinking, and an American MQ9 aircraft in Hodeida airspace.
Earlier, British maritime security company Ambrey reported that an American-owned cargo ship faced two separate attacks within two hours off the coast of Yemen.
These incidents occurred shortly after the Houthis targeted a British ship causing it to sink.
The first attack involved a missile strike on an American-owned cargo tanker flying the Greek flag, approximately 93 nautical miles east of Aden in southern Yemen. The vessel subsequently requested military assistance.
Shortly after, the same ship reported a second incident approximately 81 nautical miles southeast of Aden. A projectile landed in the water just meters off the starboard side of the ship.
