imdaad’s corporate social responsibility initiatives extend to rashid paediatric therapy center

Renews its commitment to social and humanitarian causes

Imdaad, the advanced facilities management solutions arm of Dubai World, will provide free maintenance and inspection of all utility services at Dubai's Rashid Pediatric Therapy Center (RPTC) this year for the third consecutive year.

This project is part of Imdaad's corporate social responsibility initiative to support the widely respected humanitarian drive by Dubai's Rashid Paediatric Therapy Center.

The support involves the servicing of the Center's air-conditioning, lighting and security systems, providing the manpower required and also meeting a percentage of the costs of materials used.

Imdaad CEO Jamal Abdulla Lootah said:

"Every corporate entity has a social responsibility to support and be part of humanitarian activities, directly or indirectly. Our commitment to the RPTC comes from this awareness and we are glad to be part of their great humanitarian gesture towards children in need for health, education and mental care."

Melissa Kate Ashwell, EH&S Manager of Imdaad, noted that for the last three years the company has ensured that the Center's infrastructure operates to the highest quality standards. "Our expert engineers and specialists spent about 7,000 man-hours on maintenance activities at the RPTC last year. This year we have already spent about 3,500 hours.

"The repairing and maintenance have now become easier, proving that Imdaad's professional expertise has improved the operational quality of the Center's infrastructure."

The RPTC, the only establishment in the UAE that provides education to children with special needs, expressed gratitude for Imdaad's support.

Imdaad, which provides strategic solutions and management services to corporate facilities, has a structured corporate social responsibility programme since its inception in 2002.

It covers key areas of people, community and environment. The underlying principle is to add value to the society the company operates in and thus contributing to the spirit of nation building.
