injazat data systems announces new collaboration with northrop grumman on high-technology programs

Partnership to create new business initiatives in support of Abu Dhabi's economic diversification strategy

Injazat Data Systems, one of the Middle East's leading Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) companies, has announced that it has today (Monday, November 12 2007) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the global defense and technology company ‘Northrop Grumman Corporation’ (NYSE: NOC) to collaborate on a variety of high-technology programs and initiatives in support of the emirate's economic development strategy.

The MoA was signed at the Dubai Air Show by Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, Chief Executive Officer of Injazat Data Systems; and Duke Dufresne, President of Northrop Grumman ISS International, Inc. (NGISSII). It was the second MoA signed by Northrop Grumman this week at the Dubai Air Show, which is being held at the Airport Expo Dubai from November 11-15, 2007.

“The MoA reflects our mutual interest to explore ways in which we can collaborate and take advantage of the technologically advanced opportunities in the UAE and abroad. Moreover, this agreement further underscores Injazat’s desire to select partners of global standing to achieve the economic diversification mandate of the Abu Dhabi Government,” said Lari.

Dufresne added, “We are honored to work with Injazat Data Systems, which is an industry leader in Abu Dhabi and across the GCC region. By combining our expertise and technologies, we are confident of creating a great deal of synergy and growth opportunities for the two organizations. Injazat Data Systems brings its technical background and experience in software and IT solutions, services, and engineering support to the partnership, while we provide expertise in the design, development and implementation of C4ISR architectures; systems engineering, integration and test; communications systems design and integration; and radar systems design, production and associated systems and technologies.”

Injazat Data Systems is an Abu Dhabi-based joint venture between Mubadala Development Company, a wholly owned investment vehicle of the government of the emirate of Abu Dhabi; and Electronic Data Systems (EDS), a global IT and business process services giant.

Northrop Grumman Corporation is a USD 30 billion global company with business activities in information and services, electronics, aerospace and shipbuilding. The company extends its services and products to government and commercial customers worldwide.
